This handmade mixed media sketchbook uses Stonehenge paper. Though originally designed as a printmaking paper, this extra thick, 100% cotton rag paper has become renowned by artists for its softness, strength, and versatility as it beautifully supports a variety of artist mediums including charcoal, gouache, graphite, marker, pastel, pen and ink, and watercolor.
Cover cloth is handmade Bookcloth from cyanotypes I created using gemstones and botanicals.
Choose between 2 options:
1. Blue spine with Red Ochre endsheets
2. Pink spine with Moonstone endsheets
Using the highest quality materials, these books are built to last. They are all handmade and archival, with hand sewn signatures on linen tapes using French linen thread. The spine is reinforced with tarlatan and Japanese Mulberry paper, making them flexible and strong. These journals are acid and chlorine free, so there's no worry about pages yellowing over time.
Due to the handmade nature of these covers specifically, please store journals in a low light environment to prevent cyanotypes from fading.
